What is a CEO-partner?
A CEO-partner is a local operator who runs a Fottal venture in their market. They bring local expertise and networks. Fottal provides the platform, capital, and playbook. CEO-partners hold equity and own their P&L.
What markets are you targeting?
Our primary focus is West Africa: Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Guinea, Mali, and Benin. From there we expand into high-opportunity Sub-Saharan markets including Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Africa, and Ethiopia. We choose markets with large addressable populations, growing mobile infrastructure, and identifiable local operators.
How is Fottal different from a VC?
A typical VC writes a check and steps back. Fottal stays embedded. We build the product, provide the operational playbook, and share the day-to-day load with our CEO-partners. We are a co-builder, not just a funder.
